You're In My Thoughts... Weekly Deals September 8-14

Weekly Deals - September 8 - 14

Hello fellow stampers! It has been a while since I have created a post and shared a card. It's been equally as long since I have crafted. I spent the last month and a half in the process of moving. I am extremely happy to be back to crafting and back to sharing.  Bare with me as I get back into the groove of blogging. For now, I am focusing on a minimum of my weekly deals post - with a project or two using those deals.  So, without further ado... here are the deals for this week!

You're In My Thoughts

I chose to use the Best Thoughts Hostess set for this card because I wanted my readers to know that you were in my thoughts during my move and while I have been setting up my craft room. I can't wait to complete my final organization of my new room. It is coming together, slowly. I expect to be able to share a video tour at some point.

This card came together fairly quickly. I used the focal image from the stamp set to create a subtle background by stamping it multiple times on my basic gray card front using Smoky Slate ink. Then I stamped the sentiment near the bottom right corner using Memento Black ink. Next I layered a 1 1/4" glimmer paper strip over the image. Then I used a 2-inch strip of Smoky Slate card stock, cut down to 4" and punched with the Scallop Tag Topper punch. I stamped the focal image on the strip, attached a single strip of washi tape from the Everyday Chic Washi Tape pack. I used blender pens to color the image with Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow ink and carefully outlined the lines with their corresponding Stampin' Write Markers. Finally, attach a ribbon to the top, tied by the 1/8 inch silver ribbon, then attach with Stampin Dimensionals to the front of the card at an angle.

I hope you have enjoyed today's weekly deals card share... I had fun making it. This is only my 2nd card every created in my new craft room. I can't wait to host my first real class in my craft room! Happy stampin'.

Hope the move is going smoothly and looking forward to opening up all of your crafty boxes : ) If I were moving, I might unpack the kitchen, then the craft room......!

  3. This card is so soft and feminine and that tone on tone background really sets the scene for your focal image. And everything is set off so nicely by the glitter paper and sequins. Beautiful!
