Inspired by Jamberry – Simply Daisy and Confetti Cake
Inspired by Jamberry is a brand new blog series where I
combine by two favorite things – Jamberry Nail Wraps and Stampin’ Up! This
series was inspired by a fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from the UK, Pootles.
She is just darling and has the most amazing creations, when I grow up I want
to be just like her.
This week on Inspired by Jamberry, I took inspiration from
two different Jamberry Wraps, Confetti Cake and Simply Daisy. Both wraps are
completely adorable and I had so much fun creating cards with no cardstock
based layers. It’s not as easy as it sounds…at least, if you want the cards to
LOOK like you put some thought behind the creativity. I do hope you like them.
If you follow both of my blogs, Jamdazzled and Shack Scraps, you will find this
post on both blogs.
The technique behind this first card required me to make a chipboard
mask to mask out the center of the card prior to embossing it with the polka
dot embossing folder. Once that was completed, I stamped my sentiment in the
center and proceeded to color all the raised little dots with my Stampin’ Write
Markers. I chose Perfect Plum, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush and So
Saffron as they matched the most closely to the colors in the Confetti Cake
wrap. When finished, I added a touch of Dazzling Diamonds to the letters of Thanks.
My Simply Daisy Thanks card used a technique I saw online,
the demonstrator created a Northern Lights card where she swiped the black pad
over the entire card – leaving blended color untouched. It was really neat and
I just had to try it once I saw the Simply Daisy wrap. The stamp on this card
was taken from a retired Sale-A-Bration stamp set from a year ago – it was the
only six-petal flower I have.
I hope you enjoyed my cards. If you get a chance, stop by
my Jamdazzled blog to learn more about Jamberry Nail Wraps. Happy Stampin’ and
Wrappin’!

Disclaimer: I am a new Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I am working on replacing all my craft supplies with only Stampin' Up! product, but I will occasionally use some of my non-SU stash. Bare with me as I work to replenish my stash with only SU product. I will be highlighting new products as they come in and I will always point out great alternatives to my non-SU product that are Stampin' Up!. Thanks for understanding.
