Christmas In July - Festival of Tress Gift Box

Welcome to my new series - Christmas in July!  I will be focusing all month long on Christmas, creating cards, gift boxes & bags, tags and more all during the month of July. Since Christmas 2015 falls on a Friday this year, I will be posting this new series on Friday afternoons.

To kick off my first Christmas in July post, here is my first project - my Festival of Trees Gift Box. You can download the printable tutorial here for complete assembly instructions.

This fun little gift box will hold a small gift - such as a small piece of jewelry or a sweet treat. Create a cute little handmade stocking-stuffer that your loved one will adore.

Mustang Monday - Delightful Dijon

Welcome back to another Mustang Monday featuring our 2015 - 2017 In-Colors.  Today's final color is Delightful Dijon. But, before we look at it, I want to show you the Mustangs I finally found for some of our In-Colors that were previously left out - without further ado, here is Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe.

And now I present Delightful Dijon....
Wouldn't it be delightful to take quick spin in this pretty car?

Once again, I created a color comparison chart, this time using a solid star stamp. Nothing better than pretty yellow twinkling stars... don't you think?

I really enjoyed playing with Delightful Dijon last evening... I have several cute projects to share. I do love how Delightful Dijon stands out when paired with Basic Black cardstock or Memento Black ink.  As well, I added the beautiful Dotted Lace Trim in Delightful Dijon.  I also created a mini candy holder that's just so darling...

The holder was a cinch to make - it required only four folds and zero adhesive (minus the embellishment) For the scalloped circle, I just used fuse to attach the Dotted Lace Trim to the back side in a ruffled manner and attached the whole thing with dimensionals to the front of the holder.
(I have decided to make a quick little video showing how to make the cute little treat holder - look for it sometime after the 1st on my blog)

The following three cards are swaps that I received at my meeting in June. I will include the creator's name in the photo captions. All three are created using the "You've Got This" stamp set. Aren't they just lovely!

Thanks for taking a look at my blog today. I hope you have some time to play with the new in-colors - and I 'd love to see what you make. Leave me a comment and let me know which one of the cards/projects above you liked most.
