Happy Birthday

I created a really neat birthday card for a co-worker using this week's color scheme: Perfect Plum, Crumb Cake, and Basic Black.  I apologize a head of time if the color looks a bit off - the photo was taken late at night and my lighting isn't as good as it could be. Still working on that part of my craft room.  As well, you probably noticed the missing Monday and Tuesday posts. Sorry about that - I have been extremely swamped with extra stuff going on at home and at work...plus I am working on a couple of great club ideas I hope to reveal to you soon. Without further ado....my birthday card for the week!

Instead of solid crumb cake card stock, I used a piece of the Print Poetry DSP from our Spring Catalog - page 16.  It's a great set of DSP just the right size for cards - 4 1/2 x 6 1/2. And it uses a huge variety of colors - Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, and Very Vanilla.  48 double sided sheets for only $6.95. What a great deal!

Sunday Share - 02/03/2013

Inspiration is found in a variety of places...today's Sunday Share comes from a decorating video I found on YouTube.  I don't endorse the people in the video, but I sure do love the color combination they came up with for their room makeover.

When translated to Stampin' Up! colors, I totally see Perfect Plum, Crumb Cake, and Basic Black. And this color combination will be Shack Scraps focus colors for the week. Other places I look for color inspiration include the Annual Catalog, shopping in stores, and various places online.

I recently found a website that provided me with a really cool Stampin' Up! color picker that chooses random colors from our current palette. You can play with the color picker in my side bar and find many great combinations of colors.

I'd love to see what you come up with using the colors of the week that I picked from the video above and something that you have gotten your own inspiration from! Tell me, where do you get your color inspiration from?
