It's 2 a.m. as I write my Sunday share post...weekend has been good so far. Friday I spent the entire day hanging out with my hubby. We don't do that often as both of us are usually pretty busy with Avah or work or hobbies, etc. We rented a couple movies, The Expendables 2, Seven Psychopaths, and Trouble with the Curve. I think my favorite was Trouble with the Curve, with Clint Eastwood in it. Eastwood plays a father/baseball scout. He has a crappy relationship with his daughter and that is basically what the movie is about - rebuilding that relationship. His daughter is played by Amy Adams - she is an amazing actress (IMO). Anyway, I really enjoyed the movie and I recommend watching it - who knows how many more movies Eastwood will be able to participate in - he is getting up there in age (as we all are). The movie helped me to think more about my own relationship with my daughter... I don't know if she will read this post or not, but it doesn't matter. It bears saying that we rarely see eye-to-eye...and I know I have that in common with my own mother. I will be working on this with her as much as I can. Value your loved ones while you have the chance...
The other awesome thing I worked on this weekend was building a light box with my husband. I am hoping to improve my photography. The light box is huge! I can't wait to use it. I am currently storing it on a top shelf in my craft room. I have some clamp lights to use on the sides to help light my projects but I need to test the bulbs in them before I try it out. They may not be adequate for lighting. We shall see. We used foam core board to build it, instead of a cardboard box (as the instructions suggested). And I mounted a roll of butcher's paper on a PVC pipe, attached at the top of the back - making the back drop for my photos.
Thursday evening I got my SU order in. I now have the diagonal plate and the border's scoring plate to compliment my Simply Scored Tool. I am excited to play with it! I also got my first set of In-Color Markers, Card Stock and Ink Pads in. Which brings me to the final part of my Sunday Share - my announcement of the weekly color scheme!
Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, and Midnight Muse
Look for my sample project coming soon.
Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
Disclaimer: I am a new Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I am working on replacing all my craft supplies with only Stampin' Up! product, but I will occasionally use some of my non-SU stash. Bare with me as I work to replenish my stash with only SU product. I will be highlighting new products as they come in and I will always point out great alternatives to my non-SU product that are Stampin' Up!. Thanks for understanding.
