Monday Make-Over Jan. 21, 2013

Ingredients include Primrose Petals Core'dinations Card Stock, More Amore DSP, Whisper White, Real Red ink, Celebrate It 360 Satin Ribbon in pink, and Recollections heart shaped flat back gems. Cuttlebug Hearts embossing folder, and Spellbinders smallest oval from the Classic Ovals Large set.

This week's Monday Make-Over is a Valentine's Day card, using products from the new Spring Catalog as well as the My Little Valentine stamp set. Today is the last day to pick up this cute little set - you can get it for 9.95 and get a FREE Sealed with Love Simply Sent card kit. The set makes the cutest Valentine cards!

My card was inspired by a card I found on pinterest created by Kieth Rueda  I happened to have the exact same embossing folder used on the white layer. Please note, that embossing folder is NOT Stampin' Up!  I picked it up from Michael's while I worked there.  Kieth's card is very simple yet elegant with just a touch of color - perfect for giving to your significant other.

If you would like to use ALL Stampin' Up supplies, you can easily replace the heart embossing folder for the Heart Pressed Letterpress Plate #121814 that is in the clearance rack - used with the Big Kick. Also, choose from our lovely ribbon - Pink Pirouette 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon #122981 or even Primrose Petals 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon #126844. Also, that cute little stamp can be easily cut out using our Paper Snips #103579.  As for the heart shaped gems, our Basic Rhinestones #119246 make great finishing touches!

Disclaimer:  I am a new Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I am working on replacing all my craft supplies with only Stampin' Up! product, but I will occasionally use some of my non-SU stash. Bare with me as I work to replenish my stash with only SU product. I will be highlighting new products as they come in and I will always point out great alternatives to my non-SU product that are Stampin' Up!. Thanks for understanding.
