Since I began crafting several years ago, I incorporated ribbon right away. From fancy lace ribbon to burlap and everything in between. I love ribbon. Today, I want to share with you the many ways you can make the most of your Stampin' Up! ribbon. I have done a quick search to get started and created a playlist on my Youtube channel called "All Things Ribbon". Look for more videoss to be added to my "All Things Ribbon" playlist in the future. Check it out!
Now that you have seen some AMAZING videos using some AMAZING ribbon, make sure you stop by and order your ribbon at these AMAZINGLY low prices!
Another Stampin' Up! ribbon resource is the Clearance Rack. Please note, this ribbon is retired and is only available at the clearance prices while supplies last. Once its gone...its gone for good.
Hi there Stampers! Hope all of you had a great weekend. I know mine was busy! I spent the weekend in Kansas City. Friday night I visited with a girl friend and Saturday I spent the day with my Stampin' sisters. Our quarterly team meeting was held Saturday from 8:30 - 3:15 (4ish for a few of us). I love these meetings, they are always so inspirational! After the meeting, I went on a mission to find a place called T-Rex Cafe. I found it...what a cool place! I plan to bring my grand daughter up here sometime in July... she is just gonna love it! KC is a great place to visit....
Our make and takes at the meeting (cuz you can't have a Stampin' meeting without stampin' something) were centered around our new in-colors - so I have a really cool card to share! This week's in-color focus is on Cucumber Crush. It is such a bold and bright green! I am definitely loving it!
I did manage to find a Cucumber Crush green Mustang... check out this 1967 Mustang Fastback. I found this image on a Mustangs Daily page. I won't copy their article...but it is a fairly short read and includes some other shots of this sweet Cucumber Crush (or as they call it, Snakeskin Green) car as well as a link back to RestoMod's Facebook page where you can see the entire build of this car.... LOVE IT!
Once again, I did a comparison with other greens from our Stampin' Up! color families. I compared it to Wild Wasabi, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Always Artichoke, Bermuda Bay, and the newly retired Pistachio Pudding. There definitely isn't another green like it from our current color families.
I definitely think it will pair nicely with Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzazz for a monochromatic look... I may have to try that later in the week... Bermuda Bay has way more blue in it than green, but I wanted to try to pair it next to another bold, bright greenish color. I am not liking how it pairs but I am going to play with it too at some point this week.
Featured Card: Beautiful Bunch Meets Cucumber Crush
This is one of the 5 cards we created as a make and take at our quarterly team meeting. I had a great time creating this card and if you would like to CASE it, I have the stamp sets you need listed below along with the paper and ink info.
Stamps: Beautiful Bunch, Gorgeous Grunge, Another Thank You
Ink: Memento black pad, Cucumber Crush Stampin' Write Marker.
Papers: Cucumber Crush card stock, In-Color Envelop Paper
Start by stamping the three large flowers from Beautiful Bunch using Memento Black ink onto a piece of whisper white card stock that 5 1/4" x 4.
Then ink up the Gorgeous Grunge splatter stamp and stamp it twice as shown, then stamp the ink drop stamp from Gorgeous Grunge as shown.
Cut a strip of the striped envelope paper 3/4" by 2 3/4", flag the end and stamp "thanks" on it.
Use the Cucumber Crush Stampin' Write marker to color in the flowers as shown.
Adhere the whisper white stamped card stock piece to the front of a Cucumber Crush card base, then adhere the striped thanks piece as shown.
